Home industry professionals have a lot of people vying for the attention these days. Figuring out who to work with and where to focus your time can be a big time sink. Bringing order from the landscape is about the best thing I can do for professionals who don’t want to boil the ocean themselves.

There are large business directories like Yellow Pages which offer business directory listings. Then there are the industry vertical businesses that provide products directory services, reviews, advertising, online marketing, project management and productivity applications. Then there are the small media companies who do one-off custom designed jobs for the home industry professionals. On top of this, mobile application providers which pretty much bring the same offers as before but repackage them for mobile devices.

Altogether, its a fairly busy space and understanding each offer can be a full time job. However, if you’re a professional in the space, you simply don’t have the time to investigate them all. If the right offer comes up at the right time, and they have some credibility, you’re going to make the best choice with the information available. As one starts to dig a bit deeper, you’ll discover better tools from people who know the industry and specialize in getting you the best bang for your dollar & minute.
